Police: Greenport Man Charged With Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest

Fredrick Rempe, 31, of Greenport was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after police responded to a report of Rempe knocking on a door of a residence that was not his own on First Street in Greenport and refusing to leave the area at 4:52 a.m. on Saturday, police said. Rempe was highly intoxicated at the scene and thought the residence was his own, and when officers asked him to leave the area, Rempe began using obscene language at officers, police said. While officers tried to place him under arrest, Rempe fell to the ground kicking and not allowing the officer to cuff him, police said.
