Police: Greenport Man Charged With Criminal Trespass After Entering Store

Darian Waters, 40, of Greenport, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass on Saturday at 11:24 p.m., after police responded to a complaint that Waters entered Layyah Convenience Store on Front Street after being told several times not to enter the store, police said. Police arrested Waters at his home on Linnet Street and transported him to headquarters in Peconic, where he was held overnight pending arraignment, police said.
