Police Report: Pedestrian Injured After Walking Into Moving Truck
Southold Town Police report a pedestrian walking into a moving truck and two reports of burglary.

George Pope, 43, of Greenport was driving a 2003 Dodge pickup truck on Front Street in Greenport on Monday at 11:01 p.m. and attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Third Street when Justin Hickey, 26, of Island Park walked into the side of his truck, police said. Members of the transported Hickey to for treatment to minor scrapes and abrasions after the collision, police said.
An 85-year-old Cutchogue man reported to police on June 7 that someone stole a 220-volt welder and a Briggs & Stratton generator from his barn on Cox Lane sometime between May 18 and June 7, police said. Investigation revealed no signs of forced entry, police said.

A 39-year-old Greenport woman reported to police on June 7 that a 38-year-old man who was doing yard work at her residence on June 6 entered her home that day sometime between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. and took $300 in cash, police said. Police are still investigating the reported incident.
