Police: Two Greenport Men Charged With DWI Sunday Night

Southold Town Police charge two Fifth Avenue residents with driving while intoxicated on Sunday.

The following information was supplied by the Southold Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

• Joseph Gagen, 45, of Greenport, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated on Jan. 29 at 11:35 p.m. on First Street in the village. Police said that Gagen was driving south on First Street and struck a parked vehicle. Gagen was found to be intoxicated, transported to police headquarters in Peconic and held pending arraignment. There were no injuries in the collision, police said. 

• David Juzapavicus, 51, of Greenport, was charged with DWI on Jan. 29 at 9:02 p.m., after police stopped him for failing to maintain his lane on Fifth Street in the village, police said. Juzapavicus was found to be intoxicated, transported to police headquarters in Peconic and held pending arraignment, police said.
