Question of the Day: Are You a Beer or Wine Person?
Yes, we live in wine country — but do you often join the tourists to partake in tastings or do you prefer a good brew at the local pub?

A couple of year ago, the first microbrewery opened up at the eastern-most tip of the Long Island Wine Trail — , located at 234 Carpenter Street in Greenport.
Business has grown quickly, fast enough for the owners to be able to renovate the upper level of their brewhouse — a converted historic firehouse — into a , featuring hefty beers like porter and India pale ale. The brewery also hosts many special events such as Thursday night's opening reception for artist George Schneider's exhibit from 7 to 9 p.m.
Since we live surrounded by dozens of well-established wineries and now the brewery, North Fork Patch wants to know — are you a beer or a wine person? Would you rather be sipping the chardonnay in the sun with your sweetie on the back deck of or filling up the growler and sharing the microbrew with friends at Greenport Harbor? Or do you like a little wine with dinner followed by a night of beers at the local bar?
