Question of the Day: Is It Time For Traffic Control Changes on Route 48?

It's nice to be able to cruise at a higher level of speed than you can on Route 25 and not worry about too many traffic lights heading east or west on Route 48 on the North Fork.

But with each happening within the past month — two of them resulting in fatalities in and — do you think it's time for town and county officials to consider changes in traffic control on the busy highway? Install a red light at Depot Lane? Limit allowance of left-hand turns to only certain intersections?
