Sign Up: Summer Kids' Courses At Arts & Crafts Guild

Looking for a crafty class for your kids to take this summer? Registration is ongoing over the next couple of weeks at Cutchogue's Old Town Arts & Crafts Guild for classes for 7 through 12 year-olds taking place every Tuesday from the end of June through early September.

This year's courses offered at the nonprofit, which has been around since 1949, will focus on Mardis Gras - at least until early August. Each week from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., a different course will focus on a different kind of arts and craft related to Mardis Gras, and a presentation on the Village Green on Aug. 3 will wrap up the first half.

Courses will vary from costume design to set design over the first half, with classes in watercolor painting, making a paper star book and more wrapping up the final four weeks.

A cost of $20 is required for materials, and individuals interested in sending their kids must apply by June 20. Courses begin June 25. Contact the Old Town Arts $ Crafts Guild at 631-734-6382 to sign up.
