Woman Charged With DWI, Fleeing Scene Of Cutchogue Crash: PD

She was also driving without a license, police say.

CUTCHOGUE, NY — A Southold woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after fleeing the scene of a crash in Cutchogue recently, police said.

According to Southold Town police, the incident took place on August 14 at 10:11 p.m. on Route 48 and Moores Lane. Felecia Hope Kayal, 21, was involved in a crash with another vehicle and left the scene, police said.

Officers responded and were able to locate a vehicle that matched the description of her vehicle on Route 48 in Cutchogue; upon further investigation, Kayel was found to be intoxicated, and was subsequently arrested, charged with misdemeanor DWI, unlicensed operation, and leaving the scene of a crash, police said.

She was transported to Southold Town police headquarters for processing and held for morning arraignment at Southold Town Justice Court, police said.
