Year in Review: 2011 in Video

We shot, edited and posted over 30 videos throughout the year showcasing incredible local people and places.

Looking back at the year, I’m surprised at how many videos I was able to do (given all the … time I don’t have in this day that offers only 24 hours). But, as a good friend of mine just now posted as her Facebook status, we find time for the things that are important to us — period.

I love bringing local stories to life through video. I wish I had more time to do it. It’s one of my favorite things to do — it’s work that is fun and helped to get me an “even funner” Video storytelling is something that, up until this point in time, has not been done too often on the North Fork — what I still consider to be Long Island’s (and one of the world’s) best-kept secrets. Even the crew from Discovery, who regularly travel the world, was in awe of this place.

And in the Internet age, the bottom line is this — most people (OK, a few are still a little uncomfortable about being YouTube stars ...) love to see themselves in a video and love to see the people they read about come alive on a screen. Check out the following video links and remember Winterfest, naturescapes, political races and more from 2011:
