2023 School Voters Guide: Nyack

Voters in the Nyack school district will be going to the polls Tuesday. Here's what you need to know.

NYACK, NY — Voters around Rockland County will be going to the polls Tuesday to approve their school district's budget, including the Nyack district.

Also on the ballot are elections for school board members. Three trustee seats are up for election. The candidates are:

  • Michael Rothenbucher
  • Jennifer Marraccino
  • Jessica Goodman
  • James Marshall
  • Benny Vasquez
  • Jennifer Manca

Voters in the district are being asked to approve an $104,364,414 spending plan for the 2023-24 fiscal year. SEE: Nyack School Budget, Capital Project On The Ballot May 16

There is one other proposition on the ballot asking for approval to expend an amount up to $1,730,414 to fund, in part, the replacement of boilers in Upper Nyack ES, Liberty ES and the Hilltop Administration Building; to expend an amount not to exceed $1,160,000 from the Capital Reserve Fund 2015 to fund, in part, the installation of air conditioning and related electrical system upgrades throughout the District’s facilities; and to increase the ultimate amount of the Capital Reserve Fund 2015 to $25 million plus interest earnings.

The polls are open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
