Annual Tree of Life Celebration Raises $70,000

United Hospice of Rockland (UHR) held its annual Tree of Life Celebration at the Palisades Center. The event, which continues through December 24th,  has already raised more than $70,000.

More than 1,400 stars on eight trees were illuminated on Wednesday, Dec. 11 as part of a celebration with entertainment by the Dominican College Chorale.

The Tree of Life guest speaker Janine Schneck talked about her mother’s comforting experience at the Joe Raso Hospice Residence. She expressed thanks and appreciation for the compassionate care her mother received during her stay at the residence.

The names of the honorees appeared on stars adorning the Trees of Life and are also inscribed in the UHR Tree of Life Honor Roll Book which was on display at the Tree of Life Celebration and is viewable online at www.hospiceofrockland.org/tree-of-life.

The Tree Of Life sponsors include: Lisa Ayn Padilla, David G. Schwartz, Thomas Lynch, Rockland County Clerk’s Office and Bette Nussbaum. Patrons include: Robyn and Scott Haber, Dr. Edward and Raselle Fisher, AMA Laboratories, Tappan: A Southwire Company, Tess McCormack and Natalie Sherman.
