Bone Marrow Donor Screening in Nyack Saturday
Dr. Kenneth Zatz will hold a screening for bone marrow donors to 18 Washington Ave. in South Nyack, NY Saturday to try to find a match for one-year-old Vivek Shanoy.
Dr. Kenneth Zatz will host a bone marrow donor drive in the hopes of finding a match for a one-year-old boy at his office in South Nyack from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Vivek Shenoy, who just turned one last weekend, needs a bone marrow transplant to treat HLH, a fatal blood disorder. The screening involves taking a swab sample from the potential donor's mouth. Vivek's parents have already lost one child to HLH.
