- SCORE of Rockland County and the Office of the Rockand County Executive present 10 Steps to Preparedness: Disaster Preparation and Continuity Planning 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Dominican College's Prusmack Center at 470 Western Highway in Blauvelt. - The Rockland County Legislature will meet at 7 p.m. at the county office building.
- Louis Landon joins Scott D. Davis and Michele McLaughlin as they continue their Touring the Voices Coast 2 Coast 2013 piano concert 7 p.m. at the Rockland Conservatory of Music at 45 South Main Street in Pearl River. Davis and McLaughlin are playing 30 concerts in 22 states. There is a $20 suggested donation. For more information, go to www.touringtheivories.com.
- There will be an Orangetown Police Commission meeting 7 p.m. in Orangetown Town Hall followed by a town council workshop at 8 p.m. The town board will discuss agenda items for its regular meeting Aug. 13, the only scheduled meeting this month.
Thursday, Aug. 8
- Congregation Sons of Israel in Upper Nyack provides a family-friendly evening at the ballpark at CSI Night with the Rockland Boulders starting at 7 p.m. at Provident Bank Park in Pomona. See the Boulders play the Wichita Wingnuts and stay for the post-game fireworks. Call CSI at (845) 358-3767 for tickets. Cost is $15 per person.
- The Orangetown Department of Parks and Recreation presents the Mystical Majesty Band, a Beatles tribute band, plays 7:45 p.m. in Veteran's Memorial Park in Orangeburg as part of its Friday Night Summer Concert Series.
