Check Out a Special Orangetown Meeting, Kayser-Brady Finals Pushed Back

Each day, Patch provides the nuts and bolts of local happenings with our five-bullet local dispatch.

1) The Orangetown Council will meet noon today in town hall to sign an agreement that would allow the Orangetown Police Department to use part of the parking lot at the Blue Hill Complex in Pearl River for driver training. The town council does not have a regular meeting scheduled until a workshop Aug. 6. 

2) The finals of the Kayser-Brady Memorial Tournament were pushed back to 6 p.m. Thursday because the fields at the Anderson Complex in Orangeburg were unplayable Tuesday. West Nyack will play South Orangetown and and Stony Point takes on Congers in the baseball semifinals 6 p.m. today. South Orangetown will play Nyack-Valley Cottage in the softball championship on McCarthy Field. The baseball final will be played on Bocket Field. 

3) The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies and a high of 86 degrees today in Nyack and in Piermont. The evening will bring clouds and a 20 percent chance of rain.
