Deep Freeze Coming, Snow Showers Expected: Hudson Valley Forecast
Here's the latest plus the town-by-town snow totals from Tuesday's rain, ice, sleet and snow storm.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — After 1-4 inches of snow, ice, sleet and rain on Tuesday (see town-by-town totals below), another burst of snow is possible Friday from a storm that will focus to the south of us. But first we're going to get colder.
The amount of accumulation coming up is still uncertain: a deeper low closer to the coast would result in higher snowfall totals, but a track farther from the coast would result in little to no accumulation, the National Weather Service said.
Looking ahead to Friday we are expecting light snow accumulation during the day. 1 to 3 inches of snowfall is likely throughout the area. "The next 24 to 36 hours will be extremely colder than what we are used to observing but it remains below freezing into Monday afternoon and it’s a COLD upcoming weekend," Bruce Furbeck of First Due Weather said on Facebook.

Everyone is vulnerable in the cold, but groups most at risk include outdoor workers, newborns, the elderly, the unhoused and people with chronic illnesses, the NWS advised.
