Monday, July 29
- The Clarkstown Town Board and Clarkstown School Board are holding a special joint meeting on the Palisades Center tax certiorari issue. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the school district offices. The boards will go into executive session and then are expected to reconvene in public session to vote on a settlement of the mall’s property appeal.

- Rockland County Legislative Committee Meetings include: Public Safety at 5:15 p.m., Multi Services at 6 p.m., Government Operations at 6:30 p.m., Planning & Public Works at 7 p.m. and Budget & Finance at 7:15 p.m.
Thursday, August 1
- Valdimir Leon’s appeal of the county Board of Elections’ decision to remove him from the Democratic ballot in the county executive’s race is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. in Rockland County Supreme Court.
- A ceremony marking the 40th anniversary of the deaths of police officers Michael Reedy and Thomas Kennedy in the line of duty and the dedication of the Orangetown Police Department's renovated Emergency Operations Center in their names will begin with a reception at 9 a.m. and a ceremony at 10 a.m.
- First Friday in Nyack runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be sidewalk chalk, poetry, music and art in over 40 venues in the village for an event sponsored by the Nyack Art Collective.
