The Nyack Fire Deparment's Chiefs Inspection Parade kicks off at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The parade honors Nyack Fire Deparment Chief James Petriello and shows off the fire trucks and volunteer members of the Nyack Fire Department. Firefighters from more than 30 fire departments are expected to participate in the parade. The parade starts on Midland Avenue in Upper Nyack, travels to Main Street in Nyack, where it turns east to Broadway and then goes to Cedar Hill Avenue. With the parade, these local roads will be closed to traffic. An awards ceremony takes place at 7:30 p.m. at the Nyack Fire Department's firehouse at Catherine Street and Route 9W.
