I am a Vietnam Veteran (USMC). I have been a volunteer with the Westchester Chapter of the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, the Westchester Emergency Communications Association, and the Eastchester Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). I served as President of the East Yonkers Boys and Girls Club for four years. I volunteered as a coach at Holy Child High School (Rye) and St. Mark's Lutheran School (Yonkers). I served for five years as a Board Member of the Yonkers Private Industry Council and currently serve as a National Board Member for Animal Charities of America. I am a member of the American Legion, the Marine Corps League, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Vietnam Veterans of America. I also volunteer with the "Service Dog" Program, which provides service dogs to help seriously wounded veterans, who have suffered amputation, spinal cord injury or traumatic brain injury; and, I travel to Washington to advocate for benefits for these veterans. I am also highly trained in the National Incident Management System and Incident Command.
