1) The funeral for Lindsey Stewart of Piermont is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Pearl River. Stewart was one of two people killed in a boating accident July 26. She and Mark Lennon of Pearl River, who also died, were thrown from the speedboat they were riding in when it collided with a construction barge near the Tappan Zee Bridge.
2) The Matt Havilland Quintet will perform in the Music in the Garden Summer Jazz Concert Series 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Edward Hopper House Art Center in Nyack. This free summer concerts are now in their 33rd year. A $5 donation is suggested. In case of rain, the event would be moved to Grace Church on First Ave. in Nyack.
3) The National Weather Service is predicting scattered showers and thunderstorms with a high temperature near 79 degrees in Nyack and in Piermont Wednesday. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent and the rains could be heavy at times.
