HUDSON VALLEY, NY — There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Thursday, before we get a sunny summery weekend with highs in the mid- to high 80s.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous outlook for the mid-Hudson, saying locally heavy downpours could result in minor flooding of urban/poor drainage and low-lying areas. Isolated flash flooding could occur where the heaviest downpours persist.

"Outlier possibilities project potential for as much as 2" to 4" of rainfall dependent on thunderstorms and the track of the wave of Low pressure," said Bruce Furbeck of First Due Weather.
