Jeep Stolen From Hurricane Sandy Battered Trailer Park Recovered
Haverstraw man charged with theft.

A Jeep stolen from a trailer park in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy has been recovered and a Stony Point man has been charged in connection with the theft, according to Stony Point Police.
Julio C. Caceres, 51, of 146 Dara Lane, is accused of fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. He faces a hearing in Stony Point Town Court on Feb. 21 on the charges.
Police said a 1992 Jeep was stolen during the post-Sandy clean up efforts at the Ba Mar Mobile Home Park, which was badly damaged by the hurricane in October 2012. An investigation of the theft led police to 48 West St. in Haverstraw, where police said Caceres was found to be in possession of the Jeep.
