Johnson strikes out 20 in Nyack Softball Victory

Mackenzie Johnson set a school record with 20 strikeouts in Nyack's 6-1 season-opening victory over Ossining Tuesday.

Mackenzie Johnson, an 8th grader, put her name in the Nyack softball record book Tuesday, recording 20 of 21 outs by strikeout in a 6-1 victory over Ossining.

Tiffany Salcito sparked the offense with a home run and three runs scored as the Indians opened their season with a victory. 

Nyack plays at home against Clarkstown North 4 p.m. Thursday.
