Ben Bonart of Nyack recently helped the Nyack Village Hall take on a more patriotic look.
The local artist donated a painting of a billowing American flag, which hangs in the meeting room upstairs just behind where village trustees sit, just in time for the Fourth of July.
"It was just a small something I could do," Bonart said. "I'm a big (Nyack Mayor) Jen White fan. I live in Nyack. I work with a lot of the merchants in Nyack. In my real life, I'm a creative director, a marketing guy. This is a sideline I've been doing the last 10 years or so."
Bonart said the painting is one in a series of flags.
