More Storms In The Hudson Valley Forecast

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — After a beautiful Monday for clean-up from Sunday's destructive storms, heat and humidity will build again, leading to mid-week showers and thunderstorms.

With high temperatures on Monday only in the upper 70s, it'll be quite a contrast to Tuesday, when that may be as low as it gets overnight, and Wednesday, when highs are expected to reach the lower 90s.

Then more storms will usher in cooler temps again.

"Things will start to warm up and be humid again with a warm front for a day as another cold front with severe storms are possible again Wednesday into Thursday morning," Todd Snow of Hudson Valley Weather said on Facebook, "after the cold front passes Thursday, things get cool and less humid again. Better days ahead."

Here's the five-day forecast based on Rockland County:

• Monday Afternoon - Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
• Tonight - Partly cloudy in the evening, then clearing. Lows in the mid 60s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph, diminishing to 5 to 10 mph after midnight. Gusts up to 30 mph.
• Tuesday - Sunny. Highs in the upper 80s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph, becoming west in the afternoon.
• Tuesday Night - Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 70s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Gusts up to 20 mph after midnight.
• Wednesday - Partly sunny in the morning, then mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 90s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent. Heat index values in the upper 90s.
• Wednesday Night - Showers and thunderstorms likely in the evening, then showers likely with a chance of thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the mid 60s. Chance of rain 70 percent.
• Thursday - Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the morning, then mostly sunny in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 80s. Chance of rain 50 percent.
• Thursday Night - Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 50s.
• Friday - Sunny. Highs in the lower 80s.
• Friday Night - Partly cloudy. Lows around 60.
