NY Secretary Of State Tours Nyack Waterfront Project
The village pathway project was funded in part by a grant from the Department of State.

NYACK, NY — New York Secretary of State Robert Rodriguez toured Nyack‘s waterfront Thursday with Mayor Don Hammond and met with village leaders, business owners and nonprofit organizations.
He was checking on the department's projects, specifically the village pathway project funded in part by a grant of $401,700 from the NYS Department of State.

As part of Nyack’s Local Waterfront Revitalization Program, the pathway now connects Memorial Park to the village marina with a footbridge.

It is part of the village's broader vision of a public riverwalk, and also created more parking for the always-busy park.
The path was constructed with public amenities including landscaping, lighting, benches, and signage. The pathway and related streetscaping improvements link the historic downtown to the waterfront and improve waterfront access along the Hudson River.

The waterfront pathway will extend north to the Nyack Boat Club as part of a private development of residential property on Gedney Street, which will be deeded to the village upon completion, village officials said.
