Nyack, Tappan Zee Face Off in Boys Lacrosse Playoffs

The No. 6 seed Nyack boys lacrosse team will begin the Section 1 Class B playoffs with a local rival, playing at home Thursday against No. 11 Tappan Zee. 

Section 1 set the playoff seedings and pairings Tuesday, though times for all games are not available yet. All games are played at the higher seed until the finals, which are at White Plains for the boys and Mamaroneck for the girls. 

The winner of the Nyack-Tappan Zee game will play at No. 3 John Jay-Cross River Saturday. 

On the girls side No. 5 Tappan Zee got a first-round bye in Class B and will play at No. 4 Somers in the quarterfinals Saturday. Nyack will play at home Thursday against Fox Lane, with the winner at No. 3 John Jay Saturday.
