There are plenty of upcoming chances to help tend to our democracy close to the roots.

The Orangetown Town Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday is cancelled. Several other public meetings are scheduled for this week that affect Piermont and the Nyacks.

Thursday

  • Clarkstown Board of Education, 8 p.m., Clarkstown High School South Auditorium. On the agenda: Set tax rate
  • Nyack Board of Trustees, 6:30 p.m. work session and business meeting. There will be a presention from H2M Architects and Engineers on the progress of the American Rescue Plan Act grants from Rockland County for Memorial Park.
