Obituary: Nancy Sailor Phillips Of Nyack

Nancy Sailor Phillips, long-time Nyack resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at The Joe Raso Hospice Residence in New City, NY with her beloved daughter, Delyth, by her side.

Nancy was born in East Patchogue, NY and graduated from Bellport High School. In 1976, she graduated from Williams College in Massachusetts with Bachelor’s degrees in both English and French. She later earned a Master’s Degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.

For 30 years, Ms. Phillips was a senior marketing executive and director, specializing in health care and organization performance issues at consulting firm Towers Perrin, later Willis Towers Watson. After retiring from WTW, she was an active member in numerous community, cultural and business activities in Nyack, working closely with The Chamber of Commerce, The Village of Nyack, and many arts organizations.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Delyth Elizabeth Phillips, brother Richard Vance Sailor and adored pets Beau, Bryn and Popagena. She was predeceased by her brother John Sailor and parents, Marguerite and Vance Sailor.

Nancy was cherished by her family, many professional colleagues, and friends. She will be deeply missed. The vibrancy she brought to life will remain with us all forever.

A celebration of life will be held from 11 AM to 2 PM on Sunday, March 10 at the Nyack Center in Nyack, New York.
