
According to Orangetown Police, group of four men attacked a pedestrian who had been walking along Route 59 in Nyack at approximately 9 p.m. Tuesday, beating and stabbing the victim before robbing him.
The attack occurred near the New York State Thruway overpass. The victim suffered injuries to his head and arms and his wallet and cell phone were stolen during the incident. According to police, he made it home and had a friend take him to Nyack Hospital. Police were called to the hospital to investigate the stabbing at approximately 9:55 p.m.
The victim described his attackers as four black males. Two were tall and two were shorter and stocky. All were wearing shorts.
The investigation is ongoing. The Orangetown Police Detective Bureau is asking anyone with information regarding the incident to call (845) 359-2121.
