The comedy follows Seabright, a rich middle-aged woman whose ward Vivien wants to leave their Key West estate to pursue art in Greenwich Village.
“The sudden appearance of a mysterious stranger bearing an uncanny resemblance to her long-lost love is the last straw”, said Brancato, who is Penguin Rep’s founder and artistic director. “Idris becomes unhinged, with her world descending into over-the-top comic mayhem”.
On top of that, Seabright’s lawyer starts getting a little too involved in her investments. The cast includes Drama Desk Award winner and lRidiculous Theatrical Company veteran Everett Quinton, Jason Cruz, Matt Dengler and Michael Keyloun.
“Fasten your seatbelts for an outlandishly funny ride”, said Penguin Rep’s Executive Director Andrew M. Horn, in a press release.
