Rockland Co. Executive Attends Rockland Co. Nurse Recognition Day

From Rockland County Executive: Rockland County Executive Ed Day attended this year’s Rockland County Nurse Recognition Day ceremony on May 11 as part of the nationwide Nurse Recognition Week.“Nurses are the backbone of our health care system,” said the County Executive. “We can’t thank them enough for the work they do.”The County Executive attended the event with Rockland County Commissioner of Health Dr. Patricia Schnabel Ruppert, Deputy Commissioner of Health Catherine Johnson Southren and Michael Hoblin, coordinator of administrative services. They praised the public health nurses in the Rockland County Department of Health.“You work tirelessly to care for and educate our patients and to improve the health of people in Rockland County,” the County Executive said. “Your efforts are vital to Rockland.”Rockland County Department of Health nurse Susan Lopez was among the nominees. This year’s celebration at Rockland Community college was the 35th anniversary of the event.
