Second Woman Surgeon Joins Staff at Nyack Hospital Breast Center
Dr. Adrienne Fueg recently returned to Rockland County after practicing medicine in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Adrienne Fueg has joined the staff of Nyack Hospital staff as its second female surgeon at the hospital’s breast center.
After seven years of private practice in Rockland County, Fueg worked at Elk Regional Medical Center in St. Marys, PA, for five years, before returning to Rockland County in October 2012. She currently is an attending physician at Nyack Hospital and is a surgeon at Highland Surgical Associates in West Nyack.
“We are so pleased to have Dr. Fueg join our talented and dedicated team of surgeons," said Patricia Joseph, M.D., director Breast and Women’s Health Prevention Services at Nyack Hospital. "Her compassion and experience will be a tremendous asset for the all of the patients served by the Nyack Hospital Breast Center.”

Fueg is a board certified surgeon who practices general surgery as well as breast and wound surgery. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Association of Women Surgeons and the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
Fueg received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn. She completed her residency in general surgery at Lincoln Hospital/Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in the Bronx, followed by a fellowship in critical care at Lincoln Hospital.
