Two Row Wampum Paddlers Land at Piermont

Each day, Patch provides the nuts and bolts of local happenings with our five-bullet local dispatch.

1) Approximately 500 paddlers in canoes and kayaks are making their way down the Hudson River to New York City as part of the Two Row Wampum Renewal Campaign. They should arrive for a stop in Piermont at around 5 p.m. today, landing at Parelli Park before setting up camp at Ritttenberg Field. They will hold a presentation in Goswick Pavillion at 7 p.m. To find out more, click here.

2) Today is the final day of late registration for Orangeburg Patriots football. They will be set up from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Veteran's Park. Look for the table with balloons in the parking lot off Hunt Road.

3) The National Weather Service is predicting cloudy skies all day, with rain showers and possible thunderstorms likely after 3 p.m. There chance of precipitation rises from 40 percent during the day to 70 percent tonight.
