West Nyack Reaches Kayser Baseball Tournament Final

Kyle Dennis threw a shutout to lead West Nyack to a 3-0 victory over South Orangetown in the semifinals of the Billy Kayser Memorial Baseball Tournament Wednesday at Pearl River Little League's Anderson Field Complex in Orangeburg.

West Nyack will play in the championship game 6 p.m. Thursday at the Anderson Complex against Stony Point, an 11-1 winner over Congers Wednesday. The contest is part of the final day of the Kayser-Brady Memorial Tournament, which will also include the softball final between South Orangetown and Nyack-Valley Cottage at 6 p.m.

West Nyack took a lead in the first against South Orangetown Wednesday when Frank Delgado doubled and scored on C.J. Archul's single. William Hogan and Nicholas Murphy also scored runs. Archer and Murphy each had two hits for West Nyack. Jake Walkter doubled and singled and Anthony DeFelice each had two hits for South Orangetown.

Liam Lombardi hit three doubles and threw a three-hitter in Stony Point's victory. Joey Scalfani homered for Congers' only run.
