A Look at the Day Ahead

Ossining's Bravest, 4th of July celebrations, a new segment on Ossining/Croton Patch and public transportation schedule changes are on our radar this morning.

Good morning Croton and Ossining. Today is going to be a great Friday.

Yesterday Ossining’s Bravest had their annual inspection. Those who attended got a chance to see one of the best fire departments in the State of New York on display. We’ll have the full story and pictures on our site today at 4 p.m.

If you’re looking for a 4th of July celebration to attend this weekend, look no further. Laurie Weisz from Mom Offers More will have an extensive rundown of every 4th of July celebration in our area. You can view that story on our site beginning at noon.

At 8 a.m we will be starting a new segment called “Name That Place.” We’ll show you a close-up of a building in Croton or Ossining. Every hour, for the next three hours the shot will get wider until you can see the entire building. The goal is to guess what building it is before anyone else. If you know what building is being shown, go to our Facebook site by clicking here. Write the answer on our wall. If you’re the first one to get it right we’ll send you a Patch.com magnet. They’re great for holding your grocery lists on your refrigerator as well as those special Patch stories that you printed out (so much for a paperless society).

At 5 p.m. we will have all the information you need to know regarding Bee-Line Bus and Metro-North train schedule changes during the holiday weekend.
