New York State Assemblywoman Sandy Galef is holding a forum for seniors in Cortlandt from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. today. Among the topics discussed will be the federal government's proposals to change Medicare. The forum will be held at Cortlandt Town Hall, which is located at 1 Heady St.

At 2 p.m. you can check out Caroline Curvan’s new column on eating local and eating organic. This week the Ossining resident tells us how we can make something delectable with stalks from garlic plants.
