USTA Junior Team Tennis, a fun and competitive league for junior tennis players, begins pre-season preparation on September 15th with a new Ossining Recreation program.
Starting on Saturday, September 15th, local junior players can participate in a six week session at the Nelson Park Tennis Courts, geared to prepare them for the JTT format. The sessions will run from 1PM to 2:30PM and are divided into two sections.
Section 1, Ready to Compete is for junior players at the intermediate level. The focus will be on strokes, strategy and preparation for team play.

Section II Competition Prep is for advanced beginners/low intermediate. The focus in this section is on developing strokes as well as learning the rules of the game.
Junior Team Tennis is a great format for players on varsity squads or for players that hope to play high school varsity tennis. Sessions will be taught by USPTA/ PTR certified instructors or USTA clinicians.

The registration fee is $65.00 for 6 weeks. The program is open to junior players ages 9 through 17. Registration is at the Joseph P. Caputo Community Center, 95 Broadway,Ossining, NY 10562.
JUNIOR DOUBLES IN OSSINING
Ossining Community Tennis invites junior players to participate in an L3 round robin junior tourney onSeptember 29th/30th at the Nelson Park Courts. This is a boys and girls 12 and 14 doubles event and includes a mixed rotation as well. The entry fee is $23.00 per entrant. Players must be USTA members.
