Croton police received two complaints recently: one from a resident near the golf course, reporting their usage of a wood chipper at 6:30 a.m., and another from a village street sweeper bothered by the man bothered by him.
Too Early for Wood Chipping?
A citizen waged a complaint against early morning wood chipper usage on the nearbyHudson National Golf Club grounds. On June 11 at 6:39 a.m., Croton police received a call from a Lounsbury Road resident. Police went and informed the golf course worker of village code, who complied and waited until 8 a.m.
Too Early for the Street Sweep?
A village employee lodged a disorderly persons complaint about a citizen following his street sweeper, Croton police reported.
The street sweep operator told police on June 13 at 5:48 a.m. that he was being followed by a pick-up truck. The driver was apparently someone who "always complains that the street sweeping is waking him up," Sgt. John Nikitopoulos said.
