Parents in Croton - mark the first day of school coming later this summer.
CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Croton, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Croton-Harmon schools.
The first day of school for students is Sept. 5.
Here is a list of dates to know for this school year:

10 - Veterans Day observed
22 - Half-day
23-24 - Thanksgiving Recess
December
6 - Half-day
5 - No school for students
25-29 - Holiday Recess
January
1 - New Year's Day
2 - Schools Reopen
15 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day
February
7 - Half-day
10-23 - Winter Recess
March
28-29 - Schools closed
April
1 - Schools closed
2 - Superintendent's conference day
22-24 - Schools closed
May
24, 27 - Memorial Day weekend
June
19 - Juneteenth
26 - Last Day for Students
If no emergency closing days are used, school will be closed on the following days: 4/25, 4/26, 5/28
If one emergency closing day is used, school will be closed on: 4/25, 4/26
If two emergency closing days are used, school will be closed on: 5/28
After six emergency closing days are used, if additional emergency days are needed, school will be in session in the following order:
5/24, 4/24, 4/2 (4/1 becomes a Superintendent’s Conference Day)
