Cars Rummaged, Items Stolen in Ossining

Several cars in the area of Third and Second avenues in Ossining were entered sometime overnight with residents reporting minor losses of items. 

Village of Ossining police said the cars were unlocked. So far three citizens reported, starting on Nov. 5, the loss of cash, credit cards and belongings likely from overnight. 

Police don't have a suspect. 

Det. Jeff Giorgio urged citizens to secure their cars. "Even though they feel they live in a safe neighborhood, they need to lock their doors," he said. "People get complacent about it."
