Which scenario from this Powerpoint presentation made to the Village of Ossining Tuesday night do you favor for the acreage in the downtown center?
The consultants, a group of architects from different firms together known as Downtown Revitalization Group (their area of expertise) presented a total of six scenarios to a very receptive public at Ossining's community center at Tuesday's public meeting.
Citizens don't seem to be leaning toward one or another yet, but overall are "just supportive of the the fact that the village is undertaking this project," Village Planner Valerie Monastra said.
The scenarios, or here called "schemes," present differing proportions of square footage for residential space, retail, landscaping, and numbers of parking spaces over a current four lots measuring over an acre.
From here, the Village Board will further discuss these ideas and narrow the choices down at their next work session scheduled for June 25. Consultants will then further flesh out the details of a smaller set of options. There will be another public forum to come, Monastra said.
