Cooking Class for Ossining Seniors

The class, for senior citizens age 60 plus, is scheduled to begin on September 14.

"The Chemistry of Food and Cooking," a Westchester Community College Mainstream course for senior citizens age 60 plus, is scheduled to begin on Friday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. at the , 95 Broadway, Ossining. The class will be taught by Dr. Sandra

Flank of the Westchester Community College. Some of the issues to be addressed in the class include - How does heating change food? What is the difference between chocolate and fudge?

What chemicals do I eat? What's the difference between sugar and artificial sweeteners? What do some of the words on food packaging mean? The class will be held on Sept. 14, 21 and 28 and
