Croton Christmas Album

A new Christmas album featuring Croton residents has just been released by St. Augustine's Episcopal Church.

  has released a Christmas CD featuring all-local talent, including musical and vocal performances by the church’s 14-member choir, a 12-year-old violinist, a 17-year-old soprano soloist, and the professional Zinkali Trio.

Called A St. A’s Christmas, the twelve-song album includes an African-American spiritual, several carols of English, French, Italian and Ukrainian origin, a Mozart piece, and a song by contemporary gospel songwriters Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene.

For those who are shopping for Christmas presents, A St. A’s Christmas is a great locally produced, inexpensive gift!  The CD sells for $15, and copies can be reserved for pickup at St. Augustine’s parish house by calling the church at 914-271-3501.

Song selections include Carol of the Bells, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, and O Holy Night. 

The album was produced by Laura Ravotti, the Music Director for St. Augustine’s, and professionally recorded in the church sanctuary at 6 Old Post Road North in Croton-on-Hudson.
