Several residents and professionals have received emails from "Village of Croton-on-Hudson Planning Division" and from the email address "planning.crotononhudson-ny.gov @ usa.com" with an invoice attachment requesting payment for services.
The Village of Croton-on-Hudson never issues requests and will not accept fees/payments via wire transfer, ACH, or credit/debit card over the phone or by email. We ONLY accept cash/check in person, checks by mail, or credit/debit card in person. Legitimate emails from the Village of Croton-on-Hudson will end with a “@crotononhudson-ny.gov” email address.
To verify the legitimacy of an email, you may always call the Engineering Department at (914) 271-4783 or email engineering@crotononhudson-ny.gov.
