The Croton-Harmon School District has an improved email notification system for both parents and residents. The new system is called K12 Alerts. It has more capabilities than the district's previous service, which was called Connect-ED.

"Our new system has more of an ability to access different parts of the organization and allow them to generate their information," said Superintendent Ed Fuhrman. Previously only principals had the ability to send out electronic message. With the new system, departments such as athletic and guidance are now able to push out their messages. The new system will also cut down on the amount of time community members spend searching for information on the district's website.

Another benefit of the new system, is that a wider breadth of information is now available. "We also now have the capability of pushing out information to people who sign up for certain interest groups, to give them the kind of information they want," said Furhman.

You can now receive three different categories of emails from the Board of Education including minutes and agendas, budget information, and information regarding the legislative action network. Residents can also get emails from Croton-Harmon High School's Athletic Department, Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School's Athletic Department, Croton-Harmon High School and Pierre Van Cortlandt's guidance departments and the Croton Community Coalition.
