Croton Harmon Schools Display Student Artwork

Croton Harmon students receives a chance to display their artwork at the District Art Show during the week of May 15.

From Croton Harmon Schools: Artwork from students of every grade level in the Croton-Harmon Schools was on display for the annual Districtwide Art Show during the week of May 15.

Families were invited to enjoy a reception for the show on the evening of May 16 at Croton-Harmon High School, allowing students to show off some of the work they have been creating all year-long.

District art faculty Wendy Armstrong (Pierre Van Cortlandt MS and curriculum coordinator), Jodi Burger (CHHS), Brienne Lafuente (Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School), Jennifer Moore (CHHS) and Chase Stevens (PVC and CHHS) were on hand to welcome attendees to the show.

“It’s so wonderful to see the progression of what this program brings to our district,” said Armstrong.

Work on display included paintings, drawings, photography, ceramics and more. “It’s very exciting to see the K-12 progression that results from the wonderful teaching,” Armstrong said. “The students really show a beautiful progression each year.”
