Croton Officials Work Tirelessly During Storm Aftermath

Village of Croton-on-Hudson officials, first responders and staff continue to work on storm cleanup and restoring power.

Village of Croton-on-Hudson officials are tirelessly working to address power outages, blocked roads and fallen trees. ConEd has temporarily fixed the downed power line on Glengary Rd. that was keeping traffic from getting through (see picture). Hessian Hills, Finney Farm Rd. and Hixson have also been cleared for traffic.

Right now the village is working to clear blockages on Memory Ln., Lounsbury Rd., and Mount Green Rd. Officials say they are simultaneously working to clear many other streets in the village. In many cases the municipality has had to wait for ConEd crews to deactivate power lines before trees can be cleared.

Village officials are working with the utility company to restore power on Aschman Ct., Finney Farm Rd., Fox Rd., Brook Trail, Valley Trail, Park Trail, a portion of Old Post Rd., North Ledge Loop, Mount Green Rd., Michaels Ln., Memory Ln., High St., Hixson Rd., Jasper Rd., Lounsbury Rd., Hessian Hills Rd., Glengary Rd., and Giglio Ct.

"I'm very proud of the around theclock work that the village staff has been doing to repair storm damage and to keep residents as safe as possible," said Croton Mayor Leo Wiegman.
