Croton's Bravest's 120th Anniversary

Congratulations and thank you for 120-years of service.

This year Croton’s Fire Department is celebrating its 120th Anniversary.  The Fire Department covers the  nearly 5-plus square miles of territory within the Village’s boundaries and almost as much area in the Mount Airy and Quaker Bridge Fire Protection District in the Town of Cortlandt.   The Department has nearly 200 volunteers to support its operations.

The five  companies of the Croton Fire Department are comprised of three Engine Companies: Chemical Engine Company No. 1 (Engine 118), Washington Engine Co. No. 2 (Engine 119 and Tanker 10), Harmon Engine Co. No. 3 (Engine 120), a Ladder Company (Columbian Hook and Ladder Company No. 1 (Tower ladder 44), and a Rescue Company, Croton Fire Patrol No. 1 (Rescue 18).
