Day 9: Search for Ossining Home Invasion Suspect
Ossining Police and Immigration Services continue their search for twice-deported, convicted felon Byron Israel Lopez-Jiminez.

Today marks "day nine" in the search for an Ossining home invasion suspect. Police say Byron Israel Lopez-Jiminez broke into a home on July 27. Immigration Services and Ossining Police have been searching for the 29-year-old ever since.
Ossining police tell Patch that several leads have been followed to no avail. As of this moment, Lopez-Jiminez' whereabouts are unknown. The 29-year-old's last known address was at 38 Broad Ave. in Ossining. Lopez-Jiminez has been deported twice to his home country of Guantemala. He has a history of weapons possession and resisting arrest.
Police say the 29-year-old broke into a home, where two families live, at 41 Yale Ave. on July 27 at 4:30 a.m. Investigators say Lopez-Jiminez threatened the families with a kitchen knife that he took from the home, and then demanded cash. The 29-year-old then brutally attacked two residents in the head and face with a metal object. He then ran out of the house through the basement door.
