Flash Flood Warning for Croton & Ossining

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Croton and Ossining until 5:15 p.m.

The torrential rains are causing traffic problems in the Ossining area. Traffic has slowed in multiple areas. The trouble spots are Highland Avenue between Cliff Avenue and Ellis Place. It’s also tough traveling on Croton Avenue between Highland and Seneca Road. 9A northbound is also slow north of Pleasantville Road, almost all the way up to 134.

If you’re traveling through Southern Westchester there are trouble spots on the Saw Mill North around the Hastings area. You’ll also run into trouble spots on Route 9 in Sleepy Hollow and the area of Sparta Cemetery down to Sleepy Hollow Road.

Metro North had shut down train service on the Hudson Line between Tarrytown and Croton Harmon due to high water conditions. Service is back up, but Hudson Line riders should anticipate delays of up to 10 minutes due to high water conditions between Tarrytown and Croton-Harmon.
